SuiteAdvantage and IP Phone Configuration - Linksys Pap2

Written by

Here at OneSuite Blog we try to help our readers and OneSuite users as much as possible to set up their VoIP SIP devices with OneSuite SuiteAdvantage. We’ve been posting articles and configuration procedures for ATA Devices and IP phones and now we're talking about Linksys PAP2, very similar to Sipura SPA 2002. Both are made by Cisco and the only difference is the light indicators. So the configuration settings are almost the same.

As Linksys PAP2 is popular among VoIP users, we decided to post the configuration settings here for your reference. Just follow the screenshots and you should be able to make calls with your Linksys PAP2 with your Onesuite VoIP account in no time: Linksys PAP2 Configuration1 Linksys PAP2 Configuration2 Linksys PAP2 Configuration3 Linksys PAP2 Configuration4 Linksys PAP2 Configuration5 Linksys PAP2 Configuration6

Also remember to set up your account as below:

Username: onesuiteusername-voip.onesuite.com

Password: SuiteAdvantage 8 or 10 digit password

Proxy Server: voip.onesuite.com

Port: 5060

Send DTMF: via RTP (RFC2833)

DTMF Payload Type: 101

Special thanks to OneSuite subscriber Brun0 for sending us the screenshot of his Linksys PAP2 device.

    Hi Reh,

Sorry that you are having trouble with the Android app. Please double check the VoIP username and password you entered at the Settings. To retrieve your username and password, please log in to your OneSuite account, go to Long Distance, then scroll down to the "Call from Internet" session.

Once you enter the correct login credentials, you will see the following message: "Registration on sip:voip.onesuite.com successful" at the bottom of the app interface. And you should be able to make calls.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi Sirous,

Can you tell us more about the problem you are having with OBi110? Did you not hear the ringtone? Could you double check your volume setting?

    Thanks,

    Stella

I set up OBi110 as your second SIP service.
    Service Provider Proxy Server voip.onesuite.com

Service Provider Proxy Server Port 5060

    Outbound Proxy Server voip.onesuite.com
    Outbound Proxy Server Port 5060

    URI voip.onesuite.com

I can make out a phone call from sp2 but I do not hear ring from OBI110 phone when someone calling me

    Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the updates. For Caller ID of incoming calls, it is actually depanding on the calling carrier which is sending it through.

Whatever is sent by the calling carrier is just passed through to our system, meaning we are not setting it here, just passing along what came in on the call.

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,

    Michael

Thanks Michael, I have successfully setup SuiteAdvantage as SP2 line in OBI110. However, I did not have Caller id appealed on my phone display but GV did when get income call. Any setup I am missing? Thanks again.

    Hello Stephen,

Assuming Google Voice is placed on number one SIP service, you may add Onesuite credentials on your OBi110 as your second SIP service.

Under Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> SIP Credentials, put your Onesuite username on AuthUserName box then your softphone password on AuthPassword and finally voip.onesuite.com on URI part.

Don't forget to press submit at the bottom of the page to update the settings.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Michael

Thank you so much for the screen shots. Those in addition to the page of onesuite discussions (led by Michael again) at http://blog.onesuite.com/?p=599 were really helpful.

The images (while they could be more clear) combined with my unlocked SPA2101R (courtesy of the brilliant LiveCD (found at Soundforge) people works swimmingly.

Research note: I had tried to use a different ATA device (MTA6328-2RE) but my username was too long (either that or I misunderstood the configuration process in that regard). Linksys to the rescue. Of course the question is, has anyone easily unlocked the various vonage boxes (e.g. pap2) with a similar linux booting CD solution?

Peace and thanks to the ATA tweaking / research community for helping all of us out.

    Josh
