Her kids may have flown the nest, and her friends may have jetted off, but now you can give mom back her social circle with OneSuite’s new app. See how Amy did it for her mom:
Amy has shown her mom how to enjoy cheap international calling with just one touch, by setting up a new OneSuite account for her as a Mother’s Day gift this year.
She downloaded the OneSuite Mobile Dialer app to mom’s smartphone, so mom can make international calls to her sister in Paris with OneSuite, directly from her phonebook contacts (here’s how for iPhone, Android or BlackBerry).
No outrageous charges from her mobile carrier, no PIN, or even Wi-Fi or data plan needed. Mom’s happy!
Last year I reviewed three alternative free softphones for Onesuite VoIP service and Pangolin is one of them. PortSip made an improvement to its softphone and renamed it PortGo. Visually it looks the same albeit for the name change. Features-wise it stayed the same but I think it has less bugs and overall experience is improved.
PortGo is built based on PortSIP VoIP SDK, allowing users to enjoy multimedia communications in a dynamic way.
Not sure if most of your are aware of the fact that OneSuite's VoIP Service, SuiteAdvantage, not only support softphones or ATAs , as mentioned in one of Michael's article, but can also be used with most any IP phones. Recently, we had a customer requesting our help in configuring OneSuite VoIP service, SuiteAdvantage, on his newly purchased Snom 820 IP phone. So we are sharing the configuration setting screen shots below. Some default settings on the phone that require modifications are outlined in red. Hope this will also help all other IP phone users in configuring OneSuite SuiteAdvantage service on their VoIP phones.
One way of perking up your work day is having a good cup of coffee. Our office used to order large canisters of coffee grounds from office supply stores, and the receptionist would make a fresh pot of coffee everyday. But it seemed like no one appreciated it and still strolled down the street to Starbucks™ and spent $3.00 for their daily doses. Most of the time, they’d ask a couple of co-workers to go along. By the time they got back it’s at least 20 minutes later, some may come back with various snacks from Famima!!™, some may come back with a new pair of shoes or a new gossip topic. It became more than an issue with coffee taste but productivity issue with management.
So everybody knows I’m good at finding great deals. In calling cards, that means free talk time. I’ve always known OneSuite has a referral program called SuiteTreat, but never bothered to try, until I got my first bonus when I helped my cousin sign up a OneSuite account a few months ago. We both got $1.00 for her $20 signup. I decided to give it a shot.
VoIP meets travelers Unlike a regular 9-to-5er, I travel a lot for my work. As I travel from country to country over the years, I’m finding this statement to be more and more true: the world is flat. What I’m feeling is beyond the tangible – I can expect the same taste of my Starbucks™ macchiato in Beijing or in Sydney, Australia. On the emotional level, though, I do feel connected with my circle even when I’m physically far away, thanks to the modern technology which makes communication so easy and affordable.
