Before I defected to PC calling, I used to buy phone cards from local grocery stores to place some long-distance or international calls. Oddly enough, for my supposedly 500-minute calling card, some weekly 10-15 minute calls would eat up the card in just a couple of weeks. It’s only after I worked for OneSuite, did I learn that most calling cards have different fees and hidden charges calculated to consume your minutes in no time.
Have you used a call forwarding service? Well I haven't until recently when I subscribed to OneSuite Forwarding service. You see I always travel in and out of the country. My job requires constant travel to Asia and Europe and I usually activate roaming on my mobile phone before but the high cost prompts me to always look for better alternatives. Mobile roaming is very expensive. Calls at $2 a minute are pretty normal.
If you are like me who’s always on the road and doing business mostly from my hotel room, you’ll find sending and receiving fax a problem. Yes some hotels have their own fax service but it’s kinda frustrating to give different fax numbers all the time. Security is also an issue because someone might read your fax before you do.
