About the Blog

OneSuite is a fun place. We’re a bunch of like-minded people who believe in the old virtue of frugality, while not compromising on modern-day quality. We are encouraged to share or gripe about our everyday experiences with communication gadgets and platforms, as our product development is partially based on such. As additional perks, we also provide our customers savings from top e-tailers by sharing free coupons, promotional codes and printable coupons here at this blog.

At Perk Up!, there are always cool ideas, great deals, product comparisons, and new discoveries flying around. Now instead of keeping the rant and rave in the meeting room, we thought we’d turn that into perks to benefit the users in the form of blogging on user tips for international long distance calls, internet fax services, toll-free services, call forwarding and VoIP. Finding industry scoops and great deals here at Perk Up! is just part of the joy of being a OneSuite member.

Perk Up! is where OneSuite members share their professional knowledge about our products, observation about the industry, and saving tips for your communication needs. If you also have ideas and thoughts to comment, feel free to do so. Discussions and comments relevant to the topics are welcome. Off-topic comments or attacks will be removed at OneSuite’s sole discretion. Please also understand that, depending on the questions asked, it might take our writers some time to respond to your comments.

OneSuite on Android Using CSipSimple

csip14I’ve found another good application for Android and its called CSipSimple. It’s another popular application for Android OS although not as popular as SIPDroid.  I’m writing this article so our readers and OneSuite users have an option when choosing which one to install. Based on my few test calls, I couldn’t find any difference between SIPDroid and CSipSimple. Quality is the same and call volume is similar, too.  Both can be integrated with your native dialer which means you can dial straight from your phone dialer and then choose between SIPDroid or CSipSimple if you want to make a SIP call.

CSipSimple though can record call conversation. Just press the record button and the call will be recorded in your SD card. This feature comes in handy especially when you need to record a specific conversation. Okay, without further ado here are the screenshots for setting up your SuiteAdvantage with CSipSimple on Android.

Here at OneSuite Blog we try to help our readers and OneSuite users as much as possible to set up their VoIP SIP devices with OneSuite SuiteAdvantage. We’ve been posting articles and configuration procedures for ATA Devices and IP phones and now we're talking about Linksys PAP2, very similar to Sipura SPA 2002. Both are made by Cisco and the only difference is the light indicators. So the configuration settings are almost the same.

X-Lite 4.0 Free Softphone

xlite4-iconLast week I’ve found out that Counterpath released their latest free softphone, the X-Lite 4.0. I decided to try it and give it a short review and share it with OneSuite blog readers. X-Lite 4.0 is built on the same telephony platform as the previous X-Lite; however, X-Lite 4.0 provides a completely new user interface. While X-Lite 3.0 was predominantly dial pad-centric, X-Lite 4.0 provides a choice of a contact-centric experience, a dial pad-centric experience, or a combination of the two. I am pretty happy with X-Lite 3.0 but like many people, I’m excited when new version comes out so I decided to download, install and use it.
