Make Your Calls Follow You Worldwide

October 7th, 2009

osfw_cellphoneHave you used a call forwarding service? Well I haven’t until recently when I subscribed to OneSuite Forwarding service. You see I always travel in and out of the country. My job requires constant travel to Asia and Europe and I usually activate roaming on my mobile phone before but the high cost prompts me to always look for better alternatives. Mobile roaming is very expensive. Calls at $2 a minute are pretty normal. Read more…

All About the V Thing

August 26th, 2009

onesuite_voipHave you heard about VoIP? Most of us have but there are still many of us have used it but not know about it. If you ever use the internet to have voice conversations then you’ve used VoIP. Last week I bumped into a college friend of mine who clearly is not too aware of this new technology so we had a quick chat about it.  I mentioned about using VoIP because my job requires me to travel and move a lot, and yet I managed to keep the same VoIP phone number in years. If I just stuck to a regular phone line, I might have lost touch with most of my friends. Read more…

fring5I was browsing online, waiting at the Red Carpet Club lounge in Chicago O’Hare’s B Terminal for my flight to Singapore, when I saw Michael’s last entry about ATA configuration. Now you can make calls from home phones, but what about cell phones? Then I remembered about this Fring™ application that you can download on wifi-enabled mobile phones. Since my flight was delayed and I got time to kill, I decided to try it out. Read more…

Fax Broadcasting Saves the Day

June 15th, 2009

osfxFax broadcasting over the Internet is a great feature. Just ask my assistant. I remember she shaking her head over the task of faxing a short manual to a group of contacts when I handed it over just a minute before lunch break was due. She’s now thankful that group faxing is available in OneSuite Fax service, because not only does it save her the hassles of dealing with fax machines, but she can now send faxes to all the business contacts all over the world, just within a few clicks. What’s Eating Up Your Phone Card Minutes?

May 26th, 2009

hidden_fees_webBefore I defected to PC calling, I used to buy phone cards from local grocery stores to place some long-distance or international calls. Oddly enough, for my supposedly 500-minute calling card, some weekly 10-15 minute calls would eat up the card in just a couple of weeks. It’s only after I worked for OneSuite, did I learn that most calling cards have different fees and hidden charges calculated to consume your minutes in no time. Read more…

May 4th, 2009

efax_globe_webIf you are like me who’s always on the road and doing business mostly from my hotel room, you’ll find sending and receiving fax a problem. Yes some hotels have their own fax service but it’s kinda frustrating to give different fax numbers all the time. Security is also an issue because someone might read your fax before you do. April 28th, 2009

internaional_roaming_webA recent study shows that email users are now making fewer long-distance phone calls since they’ve gone online. But for travelers like me, calling home is a must whenever I’m on a trip. Yes email comes in handy but there’s nothing like hearing my wife’s voice when I’m jetlagged and wide awake 3AM in the morning. Read more…
